![]() ![]() Housekeeping did not replace any lotions or soaps after the first day out of 5 nights They never even showed up day 4 for cleaning. Housekeeping did change my towels three out of the 5 days I was there. The receptionist gave me $35 off for one day of my $45 daily hotel resort fees as a compensation of having someone barge into my room. I then had to go wait in the long lines again just to get another key card as well as to complain about my unexpected intrusion. I had the rudest Black Jack dealer ever! I complained to the pit boss about her then that night coincidentally someone in the flamingo gave them my hotel room key and in the middle of the night another party was able to walk into my room about midnight while I was sleeping. They have taken away the Poker room which was my favorite. They have changed all of the gambling tables for blackjack to 6 to 5 except for one table in the high roller for a minimum $100 bet. First they have taken away the buffet breakfast that was wonderful. I have been going to the flamingo for years. There are plenty of other hotels on the Strip that are much better in every way than Flamingo. We chose Flamingo because we thought it's unique and iconic but we'll NEVER stay there again, and we'll advise all other people to choose another hotel to avoid problems that we faced. The only friendly and helpful customer service person in the lobby was Ethan whom we met towards the end of our stay. Every staff member was extremely rude in the hotel guest lobby. The overall service in this hotel was practically non-existent. We had no problem signing ALL our devices for Wi-Fi in nearby hotels, where we were just visitors, so why can't Flamingo be nicer to its guests? Moreover, blankets on beds were crappy, they were too thin and cold, not even real blankets and the air conditioner didn't work properly either. No other hotel has this nonsense for paying guests. Thus, if you are a family of 4 (especially with teens), you are screwed because you'll have to pay around $15 per extra device per day. The Wi-Fi is NOT fully free in Flamingo either, as they claim on their website. A person in charge of housekeeping is not particularly customer oriented. It took us HOURS to resolve this matter, and our first day was completely ruined because all we did was waiting for someone to help us. When we entered it, there were not enough towels or toiletries for 4 people. The worst hotel on the Strip (and we've stayed in many others)! There were four of us sharing a room. Overall, we were glad to have visited Vegas but, for us, it was a one-off. But the City of Las Vegas should be ashamed (and possibly sued) for not maintaining its pedestrian ways to ADA standards. It was NOT the fault of the Flamingo hotel. Worse was seeing several disabled people on motorized scooters who were stranded and confused because they were unable to continue south along the strip. I had to walk up and down the escalator steps several times during our stay, which was hard on my aging knees & heart. (Word of warning: Elevators & escalators were broken on the corner of Flamingo & Las Vegas Blvd. Not a problem for us since we always travel with our own soap and shampoo. The finger grip on the closet doors was missing, carpets already felt grubby and a couple of the plastic soap/shampoo dispensers were missing. Though newly renovated, the room was not perfect. (Couldn't really see the strip but had a great view of Caesar's Palace.) The room was generous in size, clean, beds were comfy and our room was quiet and peaceful at night. We deliberately reserved one of the newly renovated rooms and paid a little extra for a "strip view" because we heard those rooms were quieter than the ones on the opposite side. We nearly changed our reservations after reading the negative reviews and seeing some of the nasty room pics, but so glad we didn't.
